Client: College Board, Herndon, VA
Our direct client located in Northern VA is in need of a Test Engineer for a 3 month contract to perm position starting immediately. Client requires that the candidate must have proof of eligibility to work in the US. There are no visa sponsorships available at this time.
Requires Skills:
5+ years of Oracle experience
3+ years of web service testing experience
2+ years of Java programming/Java scripting
3+ years of Data Warehouse (i.e. Informatica, Ab Initio) solution experience including strong SQL skills
2+ years BI (Cognos, Query Studio) testing experience, including a strong understanding of the business requirements
Detailed Data warehouse testing knowledge including experience writing complex SQL, ETLs and BI
A proven ability to collaborate well with cross functional groups and virtual teams to effectively solve technical challenges
Effective problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good understanding of BI business models
Preferred Skills:
SoapUI experience
Experience with Data profiling and quality assessment tools
Demonstrated proficiency in an object oriented programming (Java, Scripting, C/C++)
Education:
A BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field required
MS preferred
Job Description:
Experience in building/testing a large scale data warehouse that aggregates data from a large number of data sources, strong data analysis skill and BI Report testing capability. The candidate should have strong experience on Java based application testing, with basic Java programming or Java scripting skillset. This person should be dependable individual with a proven track record of strong results. The candidate should be able to develop and implement test cases for large/small projects independently. This role will demand strong working relationships and interactions with dev/test/pm and cross group collaboration with other groups and products. The candidate will have the unique opportunity to influence our product and business strategy by synthesizing business/customer needs, and delivering both strategic and tactical recommendations. | | | |
