FW: [MTC Global] OBSERVATION OF Dr David Frawley of American Institute of Vedic Studies, New Mexico

‘So the political class went about proving they were minority friendly..’

The purpose of being minority friendly or backward classes friendly was to make them equal partners in the country’s march forward. But did they really do so ? They gave them alms so that they became lazy and never tried to uplift themselves. They satisfied their false egos by making such decisions that were detrimental to our own unity and inclusive growth. What is needed to make them more competent to take care of themselves rather than depend on support from others. I am confident that all communal and social problems will come to an end when every citizen is able to get engaged in some activity that gives him his lively hood and which makes him happy. I strongly feel that we shall have to continue to be a welfare state but direction will have to change.

Dear All.

Dr. David Frawlyey understood our psyche and written it well. Let God bless him with what he wanted.

It is the power of expression and power of elitism. Colonial people and later our own people had played the same tricks. I remember someone else from Germany had written similar thoughts.

See the irony of our culture and people. We needed somebody else to recognize and say it You are all bastards-buffoons!

I mentioned the power of expression. Our elite group consisted of well qualified, skilled in writing and talking. Later media joined them. They expressed so well that we believed them, similar to rape survivor goes through a feeling of 'I am at fault'. This is also a rape or incest, but not on the body, on culture and on our collective psyche.
But the question is something different. We have now accepted the fact that we have gone long ordeal disturbances and survived. But we are scarred and wounded. The goal is to get healed and energized, otherwise the wound gets infected and we will be wiped out.
I am not able to think much on this line. But what'soever, we are not going to be xenophobic and violent. Let our process of reaching the goal be nonviolent and harmonious, Kaaya, Vaacha and Manasaa (Though physically, orally and mentally).
let me express myself:

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah
Sarve Santu Nir-Aamayaah |
Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu
Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
Let us start thinking in this line.

Dear sirs

Colonialism took its toll.

Broke the confidence and the state as well.

They left india in pieces of their experiement.
For us to pick up what's left. They systematically targeted the eliete ..propogated the thought...dogs and indians not allowed.

It took its toll. A heavy one..the generations passed it down...

Our wealth got used to build their cities. While we were told we are pathetic.

They knew we were divided and proclaimed we won't stand together as a nation.

While we have tried to keep the tatterted bits of our pride together some how in face of comments by our own country men ..as where flying around when the use of hindi as a national language was being debated on this forum.

Look at our neighbour..they are worse off. Given to eternal J&K jingoism..they still havent woken to the fact that they are nothing but a payada..a pawn..in larger scheme of things...

They will take a century or perhaps more to recognize their self-worth.

Indian psyche is badly damaged. The colonial rule ..the partition of the country on religious lines..left the political class..fumbling for an explanation for what went wrong.

A sense of guilt prevailed for not having been able to prevent it. People talk of wars..I feel that was the worst human tragedy. Its a wound so great that the healing is a challenge. Till the time even a single person remains with its scars..society cannot heal as whole.

So the political class went about prooving they were minority friendly..perculating the guilt to the eliete which was closest to it.
After all they were the ones...heading the freedom struggle.

They who were close all got down to protecting those in power .so they wud have acceptability ..also they where left to proove that they were different from those who demanded division on religious lines.

This is a catch 22 situation..you accept the others demand..and yet you are not like them.

And so the state of affairs...some took refuge in secularism..others took refuge in communism and marxism.

Because if one projected we were religious and culturaly superior in our thinking..then a certain minority wud get shown in poor light....another catch 22 situation.

The gentleman who wrote the article might be right but..it takes being an INDIAN..living in india...to understand the difficulties of the nation.

I love my country..and wish there was a way to go back and change some of the decisions.

But we can only move forward..and try to get EVERYONE ON BOARD to put back the tattered pieces of our PRIDE together.

Thanks and regards

Padma
