The client is: Woodmen Life Insurance in Omaha, Nebraska
The client is seeking Spring 3.x to 4.x upgrade expertise. It's a heavy backend Java development role. The client is also having a TC Server integration as part of this project (TC Server = part of SpringSource Toolkit).
Contract is to end of 2014 - but will very likely be extended into 2015 (but client cannot guarantee at this time). The candidate must have strong enough skills to 'hit the floor running'.
MUST HAVE:
**Must have worked on a Spring 3.x to 4.x upgrade - CRITICAL!
JSP, Java, Spring, and Windows environment
NICE TO HAVE:
-3+ years Spring, MVC, SQL, Agile
-TC Server experience (SpringSource)
-Solid experience with Linux, HTML5, JSON, Gradle, SVN, Jira, Apache Solr (for indexing)
The task assigned will be mainly backend development focused, and the project is to help the client complete a technical refresh (Spring framework) upgrade with their web systems (upgrading to Spring 4.03). The project will also involve a TC Server integration, so TC Server experience is really nice to have.
Position Purpose:
Ensures and leads the quality delivery of business value through the development, integration, configuration and deployment of multiple technology solutions across client platforms.

Consults / collaborates with the business to ensure clarification of business requirements
Designs, configures, develops, integrates, tests and deploys technology solutions to meet business requirements
Initiates, implements and optimizes processes for effectiveness & productivity
Mentors less experienced technical resources
Engaged in ongoing growth and development in the area of technology while promoting the stated application strategy
Designs, configures, develops, integrates, tests and deploys technology solutions to meet business requirements
Optimizes processes for effectiveness & productivity
Qualifications
-Demonstrated software development achievement
-Motivated, accountable, results oriented self-starter
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks
-Ability to work with varying technical tools required to fulfill responsibilities
-Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies
-Excellent communications skills
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-A passion for learning and implementing emerging technologies
