Bobe Boh,
I am not trying to defend anybody.
But I can recall that the bids to get new football pitches in Limbe Bda and Bssam were launched at the same time. While it was easy to get land to build in Bssam and Victoria, it was rather an uphill task to get land in Bda for the same project. That was about 7-8 years ago.
Today the Victoria stadium is 95% complete, by August 2014, just lacking the tarring of the access road and connecting pipe borne water to the facility (Maybe Mola Emma Allotey should handle that second aspect).
Bssam stadium is about 70% complete. Contractors are the problem there. I am sure if the access road and the water connection at the Victoria stadium were included in the Chinese contractor's TOR then it would also have been completed.
Victoria, in West Cameroon, will also host a pool. So it would be nice if we can move some of those flamboyant hotels in Bda down to Wotutu, Wonganga, Wovea, Bokova since Muntengene and Tiko already have some facilities that can house teams and officials.
But one noise is already very strong here in Yde: BluePearl Hotel and the Awanga stuff (what's the name again? on the road to Bali) are being very strongly recommended to house at least a team each, for the Bssam Pool.
And finally, Bobe Boh, please ask my Grand Frere Da Ngonyama of Brooklyn to start offering his advice as to how the NW and SW girls should handle the visiting teams and their lot of accompanying officials and staff. We had very good echoes from Brazil in that regard: Cameroon should not fail in that aspect.
Greetings from Yde.

Objet : [camnetwork] Re: [camasej] TRENDING: Bamenda Outlawed for CAN
We have been asking, pleading with Yaounde to demonstrate that the regime has foresight. Here is proof:
By the time La Republique du Cameroun hosts the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Bamenda will be the biggest town in the neighboring republic of Southern Cameroons.
Why would a neighbor be hosting any matches on behalf of La Republique?
