Position: Oracle DBA
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Locals Preferred)
Length: Long Term Contract
Job Description :
Interview: They will hire over Skype but will give a preference towards local candidates to interview on-site
Minimum Skills Required :
- Root cause analysis for performance degradation and the ability to propose corrective action
- Oracle applications R12 and Oracle database 11g experience
- Oracle application installation and patching
- Patch management
- Administration of concurrent manager, forms and report server
- User administration
- Understanding of security best practices and security implementations
- Application and database cloning
- Problem identification and resolution
- Monitoring and performance tuning of Oracle application and database
- Backup & recovery utilizing RMAN
- DBMS installation and upgrade experience
- Installation and maintenance of database structures
- Development and maintenance of shell scripts
- SQL performance tuning
- Creation and maintenance of documentation
- Production support of the E-Business Application, third party software and database
- Familiarity with database architecture, both logical and physical design
- UNIX skills
Not Required, but a Plus
- Local to the Pittsburgh area
- Strong application and traditional DBA experience and skills
