Hello friends ,

Can somebody help me get to know the German system of higher education?

I would be happy if I can get references to the sources of information on this subject.
I understand that higher education is free in Germany. How do they manage this? What is the support system? How do they find students or how do they restrict the no. of students to their programs [whichever is applicable]?

And worried where my hard earned money is going to.

So I actually studies almost free as far as tution fee is concerned.

Only difficulty was that after paying a PHD fee of Rs 200 per month...the real cost of phd was far greater and ran in couple of hundrerd thousand of rupees.
