age. Now university teachers are being paid highest salaries, more
than civil service servants, but with out any accountability and

In most of higher learning institutions, we are not having qualified
teaching staff. The quality of research is disastrous. As now Ph D
is must for promotion, now universities are turning into market
place for Ph D awards.....for a price many ghost writers are
available. Hardly Ph D thesis books are being opened by any one for
any reference. It is high time to reform higher education, making
teachers training a contiguous process, they should be made
accountable to their performance and root out evil and corrupt
practices in higher education.

With due regards to the academic fraternity, only those people must
be encouraged to teach who have a passion for sharing their
knowledge and wish to pass it on to the next generation. Teaching
should not be looked as the last resort because one could not bag a
decent job nor as a stop gap arrangement. One should become a
teacher by choice and not by chance or need or other failures. Its
the most sacred job.
