Job Description:
Mandatory Skills (MANDATORY):
HL7, Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
Standardize and map clinical data to common controlled vocabularies and classifications, including LOINC based on SOPs and guidelines
Work with a team of clinicians and software engineers to map data.
Be a clinical data mapping expert on our team.
Communicate directly with data analysts managers to resolve issues and to provide guidance as needed
Report patterns, trends and anomalies
Log data issues and defects
Reporting of data to various internal departments
Miscellaneous department projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:
Knowledge of standard controlled vocabularies like LOINC and SNOMED.
More than 5 years of experience working as a data analyst
Knowledge of healthcare IT messaging standards like HL7.
Experience with large healthcare datasets.
Experience using both structured and unstructured healthcare data
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to think creatively and explain ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical individuals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well developed troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution skills
Well versed with SQL / SQL Query Analyzer to perform queries and changes (Update, Insert, and Delete statements)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
PC proficiency in Word, Access, and Outlook
Additional Skills and Know-how
Experience in working with a terminology management system like Health Language International (HLI) and 3M
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized and enthusiastic
