FULL JOB Description

Job Description Hyperion Tax Provisioning (HTP) Administrator

The Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Administrator is responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining the infrastructure for HTP utilizing multiple platforms.

 

Responsibilities include:

Install, configure, tune and deploy Hyperion Tax Provision in non-clustered/ clustered J2EE environment(s)

Adjust load balancer settings to distribute and balance traffic

Configure and deploy application code sets in a shared hosting environment

Evaluate, test, and deploy software patches, fixes, upgrades, and testing procedures used to notify end users of pending change in status/ availability of -servers

Must be able to work with Developers who design, develop, code test and implement procedures to load the data warehouse according to the approved design and technical models incorporating the business rules and data requirements

Examine system error logs, monitor jobs and tasks

Troubleshoot application problems, check server configurations, and analyze log file entries as well as manual monitoring methods

Use Operating System (OS) functions to find and resolve performance issues

Adjust Hyperion Tax Provision settings such as file descriptors, targets and cluster configurations

Schedule and perform after hour software maintenance to keep the system operational.

Support Disaster Recovery activities

Provide oversight to less experienced staff.

 

Qualifications & Required Skills:

3+ years' experience of Hyperion Tax Provision architecture experience including design, administration, configuring, and integration.

3+ years' experience with Java and J2EE

3+ years' experience with XML and Web Services

3+ years' experience in Web infrastructure build and deployment

Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments is required

3+ years' experience with UNIX and Shell Scripting

Strong knowledge of  Windows, Linux, and Solaris Administration

Strong knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS

Knowledge of TCP/IP troubleshooting

Working knowledge of other Internet protocols

Ability to mentor junior admins

IIS Web Server

FCM (Financial close management) Web Application

Shared Services Web Application

FDMEE (Oracle Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition )Web Application

Oracle Data Integrator

HTP Web Application

Financial Reports Web Application

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service focus.

Strong relationship management skill.

Experience working with system and database compliance and security policies.

A strong background in implementing infrastructure and managing software including database design, estimation and implementation experience.
