Justice agencies in Hennepin County for sharing critical justice information both within the county and statewide. HJIP seeks to put the right information in the hands of the right people at the right time and in the right place. Agencies involved include District Court, County Attorney's Office, Public Defender's Office, Sheriff's Office, Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation, Minneapolis City Attorney's Office, local law enforcement, as well as the State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. HJIP has many project in progress. This position is needed to provide Project Management for the Document Sharing project and to mentor the HJIP PM to manage projects while using Agile.  

 

Work to be performed:

• Ability to coach the HJIP PM and staff in managing projects in an Agile environment
• Provide Project Management for the Document Sharing Project and other projects as assigned
• Participate in project estimating and planning
• Identification of issues and risks
• Communications within HJIP and the Project Team
• Defining Scope and Managing scope changes
• Ensure knowledge transfer is an ongoing activity, to ensure a smooth and seamless transition when this resource leaves the HJIP program
• Takes work direction from the HJIP Project Manager
• Provides HJIP Project Manager with regular and timely status of all activities being worked on
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Candidates submitted for the position, must have:

• Experience Managing Projects within an Agile Development Environment
• Provide coaching to HJIP Team on managing projects within an Agile Development Environment
• MS Project 2010 or greater experience
• Take assignments from HJIP Project Manager as well as other HJIP Leadership

 

Candidates submitted for the position nice to have:

• Criminal Justice Experience / Knowledge
• Coaching experience
• Rational Team Concert experience
