Mystery 2: A Tale of Two Men
Friend:
As far as the Lord God is concerned there has been on two men on earth
The First Adam, who, though created in the image of God, fell into sin
The last, a sinless man from heaven.
Sin is separation from God.
The Lord God has life and he gives life.
When you are separated from him, death is guaranteed.
Sin is death.
When Adam sinned, he separated himself from God.
Adam is our fore-father.
We all inherited his nature and his character.
We were all in Adam's loins so we were all contaminated and thus we were all separated from God.
We were thus guaranteed death.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
We, of the Adamic Race, were all doomed because we all were fashioned after the diseased, rebellious and death-trapped template of Adam.
There was no way the Lord God could redeem and save the Adamic race but to put an end to that race and start a new one.
Jesus the Christ was the last Adam.
He was the last born of a doomed race.
When he died on the Cross, the Adamic Race with all its sinful nature died in him.
I say we were in him, in Christ, and I will explain how and why.
You see, friend, we were sin and death, totally incapable of redeeming ourselves from the accursed separation from our heaven Father who is too holy to behold sin.
Lest of all live with and in sin.
We could not save ourselves from sin and its consequence called death.
It needed Christ to come and die for us and as us that we may be resurrected, regenerated, born-again in Christ and as Christ.
That we might now live forever, far away from sin and death.
Ro 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Even as Moses could not enter the Promised Land because of his old sinful nature so too did the Lord God now guarantee that we shall all live (if we believe) because we are now made alive in Christ.
If we believe.
The Second Man.
Friend:
The Last Adam, or the Second Man, is called Christ and he is from heaven.
Jesus was the last Adam but he is also the first-born or the first fruit of the new race.
He is the first fruit of a race of new creatures o new creations; children born of the sperma, or the word of God.
Born again of the Spirit of God.
And, as he is holy so too are his brothers and sisters holy.
Ro 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Holy.
Not will be holy.
He is holy so too are all his brothers and sisters.
Why?
Because the Lord God himself has declared us holy.
Why, because we are now born again, not of the corruptible sinfull seed of Adam but of the genes or the sperma of God.
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Born again out of and with divine-God's own incorruptible genes that liveth and abideth.
Born again with a quickening spirit in residence.
1Co 15: 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Friend:
Let me show you a mystery.
See verse 51.
51. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
To be changed from the Old Adam, sin and death man is not for when you die.
It is when you receive the life of God in your spirit.
You are changed instanta.
From sin and death to life and peace with God in Christ Jesus.
Do you desire to be transformed from sin and death to life?
Do you desire to receive eternal life in your spirit?
Then do this:
One nanosecond after you believe and confess Jesus with a contrite heart, mortality is change to immortality and Christ appears in your life and as your life.
You are now in Christ and you are now a new creation or a new creature.
From the heights of eternal glory the divine Spirit descends, by a long series of steps, meet you as you are and where you are and then, in the partnership of faith, lovingly to embrace the soul of mortal origin and to embark on the sure and certain retracement of those steps of condescension, never stopping until the evolutionary soul is safely exalted to the very heights of bliss from which the divine Spirit originally sallied forth on this mission of mercy and ministry.
We are in God in Christ and as Christ.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
However, the new creature man in Christ is markedly different from the Old Adamic and Genesis man.
You are no longer a mere living soul or living being.
You are a quickening spirit, after the Order of God himself.
1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
For the perfect is now come and the imperfect is done away with.
Cast aside.
1 Co 13: 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Friend,
Ga 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
In water baptism we declare to all, even the demonic spiritual forces and especially the demonic spiritual forces that we are no longer of Adam but of Christ.
We are no longer part of the Kingdom of darkness and Sin but we are of God.
We are a new creation in Christ, born of God.
A new creature.
We will develop the concept of the New Creature Man later.
Because we were in him on the Cross.
We, being essentially sin, died with him on the Cross.
That we might rise with him and in him when he resurrected.
And that, still in him, we marched into hell, forced open the gates of death and we fought the devil for the keys of death.
Ps 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! [Selah]
Reason why, as he is highly exalted, so too are we.
Friend, I repeat, crucified with him.
Died on the Cross with him.
Buried with him.
Ro 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Quickened with him.
When he marched through those gates we were in him.
We marched in with him to conquer death.
Now we can reign with him as joint-heirs of the kingdom.
Ro 8: 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Php 2: 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Now being heirs, and joint heirs of the kingdom.
Ro 8: 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, "Abba! Father!" 16 it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God,17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
