Title: Weblogic/Web Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Bloomington, MN
Duration: 12 months Contract
Start : ASAP
Puppet Tool Experience as this position is needing CHEF Automation Tool.
Prescreening Questions: Candidates must answer these
1. When you are developing a software solution, how do you decide when it is "good enough"?
2. When do you automate a task and when might it be wrong to automate a task?
3. How would you go about making changes to production environments while ensuring quality and minimal downtime?
4. How do you keep current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the software industry?
Project:
Infrastructure.
Building a lab environment to test various configs, help with ATG Upgrade, Node.JS environment implement. Not infrastructure as far as hardware more software knowledge, more like a System Admin with some programming skills. Or someone who came up as a Programmer that has developed administration skills. Need Networking skills, how CPU's talk to each other and how the information needs to travel throughout the system.
Required to have experience in the following areas:
6+ years of relevant experience with web infrastructure and systems administration
1+ year of experience developing in Ruby, Python, Java, or another object-oriented language
Experience with large scale distributed systems
Experience designing, building, and managing server lab environments
Preferred to have experience in the following areas:
Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. OpenStack, Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure) and virtualization (Exposure to and working Knowledge)
Experience with Infrastructure Automation tools (Chef in particular)
Familiarity with active-active scale out and high availability architectures
