Employability is a big word today and everyone is talking about skill development. In this race, somewhere the real purpose of education is defeated. There is a popular saying “Hire for attitude; Train for Skills” and the purpose of education revolves around the first concept “Hire for attitude”. Industrial revolution, technological development and emerging business challenges demand for the people who are just skilled to perform/deliver [robot] . That is, by the idea that the purpose of human beings is to produce and consume in the marketplace, and that the measure of all things is success in the marketplace—profitability, or in the case of an individual, his or her wealth.
There is a strong urge to include language, literature, liberal arts etc in the curriculum even in B-school syllabus to see that we do not produce robot , we create thinking leader.
