Job Description
- Serves as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops Java/J2EE middleware applications
- This position is a Java business layer and interface layer specialist who can develop complete framework related components.
- Owning all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications; Performing hands-on design, and development of systems in adhere to architecture guidelines
- Performing hands-on software development and testing, typically spending about 50% of time writing code, API specs, conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints, or doing proof of concepts/automation tools
- Driving consistent development practices - tools and common components; Developing deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
- Working with technical product managers contributing to blueprints, and assisting with annual planning of feature sets
- Proactive & dedicated self-starter. Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Identifying exciting opportunities for adopting new technology to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
- Work closely with product managers, back-end and other front-end engineers to implement versatile solutions to tricky web development problems
Qualifications
- 4+ years of software engineering experience working with Web Based Applications on Spring Integration Framework.
- Should be hands on in Java/J2EE languages and frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical discipline.
- Thorough understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals
- Experience in development of REST and SOAP Webservices.
- Experience with jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, and DOM is an added advantage
- Expertise in Objected Oriented Analysis and Design
Preferred
- Experience with Java applications design and development in an Enterprise setting using J2EE, Spring, SQL, XHTML, DBMS's, and Search Engine Optimization desired
- Experience with Scrum preferred.
- Proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software
- Internationalization (I18N) and Localization (L10N) experience is a plus
- Experience with test automation, DevOps and Test Driven Development is a plus
- Experience with a broad range of software languages and payments technologies is a plus
