Position: SQL Database Administrator for a 7 month project located in Austin, Texas.

 

What is the project about, what will the selected candidate be doing and what is the outcome our customer expects?

Information Technology/Applications – SQL Server database administer responsible for day to day operations that may including but are not limited to: Data modeling; Database creation, Coordination, support and Oversight;  Database performance tuning; Database version upgrades and patching; Database monitoring and management of disk space; Database backups, recoveries and restorations; Database loads and reorganizations; Database security; Creation and updating of database documentation; ETL development and debugging; and Automation of proactive monitoring and reporting;      

 

What is required to be successful in this opportunity?

 

Minimum Requirements:

Years	Skills/Experience
8	Experience with production database administration (database - creation, coordination, oversight, tuning, upgrades, patching, monitoring, disk  space management, backups, recoveries, restorations, reorganizations, and documentation)
2	ETL Development, logical and physical data modeling, security
2	Use of Redgate Database tools set
2	Use of Idera SQL Safe Archiving solution

        

Preferences:

Years	Skills/Experience
3	Knowledge of DB2 and Oracle
