Position: Web Design System Analyst for a 3 month project located in Austin, Texas.
What is the project about, what will the selected candidate be doing and what is the outcome our customer expects?
The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing complex (journey-level) web design, architecture and development work. Work involves coordinating web environment design, deployment, development, and maintenance activities; may be asked to train other staff to perform maintenance on developed web content.
· Analyze the layout of existing intranet pages for efficiency and effectiveness and develop and maintain new web content.
· Utilize the agency content management system (phone).
· Analyze Web content for accessibility and recommend changes to make content accessible. Remediate accessibility issues.
· Design and implement new or revised methods for disseminating information that effectively meet the needs of the agency.
· Advise on operational, technical, and support requirements for web content.
· Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid; properly structured; meets industry standards; and is compatible with various browsers, devices, or operating systems.
· Interact and communicate with the agency's information content management team or hosting agency to address hardware or software issues affecting Web sites.
· Write, design, or edit Web page content that includes the preparation of graphics, text, and tables.

4 | Experience in web design, web development, or web programming/coding. |
2 | Experience in systems analysis and design work. |
Strong | Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, and of techniques used in the design of Web content. |
Strong | Ability to design Web pages, to handle multiple projects, to schedule, test, and install Web pages; to communicate effectively and to train others. |
