RE: [MTC Global] IIPM

Dear All,

I was going through the deliberations. I think the issue in higher education is over regulated and under delivery. There is no integration among all the regulatory bodies like UGC or AICTE. Lots of over lapping areas of operations. We have different variety of institutions in private like institutions under AICTE, institutions affiliated to different universities , private unitary universities, deemed to be universities etc. No uniform law prevailing for the institutions running similar kind of programmes. It is high time that the Govt should have an integrated higher education policy.

Dear all,
I am also in full agreement with Varuan Arya. Indeed, most of the problems in higher education are creation of these disreputed regulatory bodies. For instance, the accreditation system is governed by many unethical factors adopted by many of its membres. Hence, a revamping of these institutions is the need of the hour. The Government should try to man these institutions with people of high integrity and morality to set the standard.
