Job Description
· Providing hardware architectural guidance, planning and estimating cluster capacity, and creating roadmaps for Hadoop cluster deployment
· Provisioning, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining HDFS, YARN, HBase, Flume, Sqoop, Oozie, Pig, Hive, Spark, and Solr
· Patching and upgrading Cloudera or Hortonworks clusters
· Hardening Hadoop clusters for deployments into production environments
· Recovering from node failures and troubleshooting common Hadoop cluster issues
· Scripting Hadoop package installation and configuration to support fully-automated deployments
· Supporting Hadoop developers and assisting in optimization of map reduce jobs, Pig Latin scripts, Hive Scripts, and HBase ingest
· Creating processes and automation for a Disaster Recovery cluster
· Managing user access to edge nodes and data within the cluster with Sentry, Kerberos, and other similar tools
· Assisting with integration of other data platform systems.
Requirements
· 1+ year experience working with Hadoop
· 3-5 years experience with Linux administration
· Java, Python, C++, or Scala programming
