Job Title : Senior Accountant with SAP G/L
Job Duties : Assist in Period Closings,G/L Account Reconciliation,Post Journal Entries to G/L,Apply General Accounting Methods, Principles and Practices
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this position is to support intercompany cross charge transactions for United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America in a financial shared service environment. This position will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Global Intercompany and Profitability Accounting department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties are as follows:
· Preparing customer and vendor invoices between internal Medtronic companies
· Auditing the support for the invoices using several systems
· Issue resolution and reconciliation
· Cash Application of intercompany payments
· Account Reconciliations
· Work in a team environment
· Perform special analyses and projects as requested
· Create and maintain written accounting procedures for this position
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an MBA
· 2 years of finance/accounting experience using SAP G/L
· Experience or education with Microsoft Excel
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to work in fast paced environment with high attention to detail Strong relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, filtering, sorting)
· Ability to work with ERP systems
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Business acumen and judgment
· Experience in large, matrix-managed company
· Self-motivated and goal oriented
· Tactful, exercises independent judgment and discretion
· Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities
