Our customer is seeking a Linux/AWS Administrator who will focus primarily on Linux administration with a secondary focus on Hadoop.
Responsibilities:
· Handle care and feeding of Linux request management activities
· General Linux administration skills (primarily RedHat)
· Some of the servers are part of Hadoop clusters to knowledge in that area is required
· Configuration Management (patching)
· Performance Troubleshooting & Fine tuning
· For Hadoop, seeking someone with Hbase & Ambari experience to do Hortonworks tasks, access request, and installation of different components.
· High ability to collaborate as part of a time, to be flexible to other people's ideas, and to think on their feet
· Hardware is primarily Dell with some HP
· They have some VMware and AWS in the environment so experience working with both is desirable.
