Job Title: Technology Analyst 

Duration: 6 Months

Position Type: Contract  

Location: Weehawken, New Jersey

Job Description

• Analyze incidents, identify the root cause and resolve or escalate appropriately
• Perform regular maintenance tasks
• Problem Management
• Release implementation
• Batch monitoring
• Raising change request and implementing system changes
• Writing scripts and database queries to extract data and to develop tools

Minimum requirements: 

• Windows Administration - Scheduled tasks, event programming etc.
• Windows Power Shell
• SAN /NAS Storage Planning, forecast
• Java
• Writing SQL queries against complex database schemata
• Shell scripting
• Perl scripting
• UNIX: Analyzing logs, editing files. 
• Implementing changes using pre-defined methods

Optional: 

• Ticketing software like Service Now
• Middleware experience (EMS, MQ etc)
• Experience with job scheduling software AutoSys.
• Experience with Citrix environments
• Software versioning control systems
• System and application monitoring software like NetCool

Requirements Soft Skills Minimum requirements: 

• Fluent verbal and written English is a must. 
• Excellent proven communication skills
• Ability to manage user expectations especially in difficult situations
• Fast learner as the environment is complex
• Owning problems and driving them through to a solution
• Ability to work with multiple teams in different locations.

The person will be responsible for supporting Java based 3rd party applications on Windows platform.

So the person should have good knowledge of application support on Windows platform, with good knowledge of Windows Powershell scripting, and Oracle PL/SQL. Unix knowledge is desirable.
