Job Description:
Business Assurance: Manager, Finance Systems
This role is a core element of the Business Assurance team and has a strong focus on enabling system/process (tangential to system) improvements and user experience within the Finance organization with regards to the Hospira SAP and BW landscapes. The individual will have hands-on responsibility for providing SAP super user support primarily in the areas of FI/CO, however will also need to understand the Finance impact originating in the other SAP modules (MM, SD). Additional requirements relate to SAP knowledge transfer, training, and SAP project work. The individual will also assist in managing F&A report requests and act as Finance liaison with BW delivery groups. This is a key role on a very small, lean team focused on execution of continuous improvement concepts as Hospira Systems Finance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Understands the SAP-enabled business processes supporting the Financial Shared Services/Global Business Services and Retained F&A organization; SME for functional processes and SAP design alignment
• Acts as full-time project team member representing Finance/Accounting on SAP projects; participates in business requirements gathering, system design input, user testing, implementation, post-implementation support;
• Acts as first line support person for SAP FI/CO and BW reporting issues, and liaises with the IT Support team and Finance Business Relationship Manager (BRM) on behalf of the Finance organization, driving to issue/ticket resolution;
• Supports data reconciliation issues between systems, for example root cause analysis between SAP and BW/ISIS, FI to COPA
• Provides and supports end-user training in FI/CO, linking underlying business process to SAP system functionality
• Provides and supports project management for Business Assurance (BA) led projects
• Partners with Finance Global Process Owners (GPOs) to define business processes and drive automation opportunities
• Develops and maintains framework to monitor SAP functionality status of all Hospira legal entities
• Facilitates BA system-functionality based legal entity reviews
• Participates in the execution of the Finance IT strategy, understanding the existing technology platforms and optimization opportunities (SAP and non-SAP)
• Fosters Finance program process standardization methodology to ensure compatibility across all processes and regions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum of 7+ years of finance/accounting including strong process and systems experience
• Strong knowledge of SAP and BW; Winshuttle experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of project experience, or functional experience in Finance, Generalist/Project experience supporting the Finance function, and/or Finance change/transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of global Finance process stream.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; must have a strong analytical and problem solving background.
• Ability to communicate, facilitate and persuade at all levels within the organization.
• Strong process and project management skills required.
• Effective finance and business case development capabilities.
• Innovative and able to think both analytically and conceptually.
• Ability to function at both a detailed and strategic level, understanding which approach to use based on circumstances at hand
• Understanding of the Project Management Lifecycle
