Job Description
· Financial Services industry a must, preferably experience with some of the following: brokerage, trading, online accounts management, wealth management and regulatory projects for the brokerage industry.
· Same experience requirements of 8-10 years as a BSA, requirements gathering and writing, experience with waterfall methodology, comfortable working with data, writing queries.
· Highly analytical and driven to get tasks complete on time.
· Specific project need for business systems analyst with strong skills working with data - so in addition to the typical skills we'd look for in a project business systems analyst, the needs to be very comfortable in data analysis.
· The project is moving into a phase that is very data heavy.
· The person in this role will be basically working with the stakeholders to understand and document their requirements as usual, but being able to translate that into data requirements, mapping, doing queries during analysis and testing.
· SQL Server is what we use so that is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
· Formulates and defines system scope, objectives, and requirements through best practice disciplines, research and fact-finding, requirements elicitation techniques, combined with the knowledge of applicable business processes and systems and industry requirements when applicable.
· Owns full responsibility and accountability for developing business and functional requirements for assigned project.
· Lead and/or assist business and technical team where necessary to develop/modify processes to resolve moderate to complex business issues by using system solutions, considering systems' capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results; includes analysis of business and user needs, elicitation, organization and documentation of business requirements, and translation of business requirements into functional requirements.
· In support of solution definition and functional specification definition – when available, performs review of impacted systems' technical and logical design for the ability to lead through creating or updating system / process / data flow diagrams with minimal support.
· Knows basic SQL to perform data queries that are simple to medium in complexity to support analysis as needed throughout all phases of the project.
· Supports design, build and test phases for assigned projects as is determined by the project
· Supports project manager by developing detailed project information for their task assignments such as detailed tasks, estimates, risks, issue management etc..
