We will be upfront - we are not looking for the average candidate. We are looking for the best and the brightest. We want to see on your resume what you've done, what tools you've used, WHY you used those technologies, and what you've accomplished with your skills. We aren't looking for a standard resume. We want candidates that are so proud of their work and accomplishments that they take the time to write a resume that reflects that.
We want developers - who are focused on development, and who's role and responsibilities is development. We aren't looking for someone who has supported a development team, written scripts, managed releases, etc.
We aren't looking for someone who catches bugs, did coordination, built tests. We aren't looking for infrastructure folks. We want straight on developers who don't mind which language they are using, as long as they are working to produce clean code.
You will code for us as part of the interview. And we are looking for extremely clean code. Coding doesn't need to be overly complicated and we don't want it to be.
We are a research team. We are highly depended upon. We are accountable and creative. We are curious and proactive. We learn something new every day. We do not have egos. No one has a greater title than the rest. We all work collaboratively and need others who are the same.
Now the skill set stuff so we can show up on your searches:
· Modern web development (e.g., HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS, Backbone)
· Developing large-scale, custom distributed software systems in Java, Scala and/or C#
· System design with SOA/REST/Microservices
· Relational database design and access (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
· Full scope test automation from unit to behavioral/functional to integration (e.g JUnit, ScalaTest, JBehave, Cucumber)
· Detailed technical problem solving and troubleshooting
· Mobile development experience
· Experience working with large data sets
· Experience with NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase, Neo4J)
· Experience with search/analytics tools (e.g. ElasticSearch, Solr)
· Cloud-first development experience with automated, continuous delivery deployments
· Experience with AWS or similar distributed architecture
