JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Developer  Primary focus for this position is the eGMS.

 

Ø Application Design, Development, Support and Maintenance.

Ø Programming Web-based applications in ASP.NET, C# and Microsoft SQL Server; use of HTML, Visual Basic, and JavaScript.

Ø Reviewing proposals for major projects and application programming requests and determining feasibility of such projects.

Ø Developing detailed plans for new applications, enhancements, changes, upgrades, new reports, and other functional changes to NEA's software. Plans must address requirements identification and analysis, system design, performance measurements, application testing and release management, training, planning, and oversight.

Ø Primary application developer for software applications using Structured Query Language (SQL).

Ø Developing and testing software programs in a production environment that requires working knowledge of the syntax, capabilities, and limitations of the programming language and operating systems for a Microsoft environment.

Ø Working closely with system managers in all phases of this work. Provides internal application technical support and is the technical lead on a daily basis for application problem resolution.

Ø Participating on the tiger teams designing, documenting, developing, testing, and implementing software programs.

Ø Providing quality customer service through the development, production, and integration of software applications that enable customers to successfully meet their business goals. Upon supervisor's acceptance of an overall approach, determines a design strategy that attempts to anticipate directions of change in workload and Federal requirements to accommodate changes efficiently.

 

Ongoing Tasks:

Ø Support development of middleware (web services) computer software that provides services to applications beyond those available from the operating system.

Ø Support development of custom NEA-defined forms for ad hoc reporting and business analytics.

Ø Support the development of middleware to assign NEA-specified accounting codes for grant applications.

Ø Support the assignment of NEA user access roles based on the system administration guidance.

 

 

Qualifications required:

Ø Strong experience in Object Oriented design & development using Microsoft technologies including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, ADO.NET, AJAX Framework, XML, WCF and ASMX Web Services.

Ø Expertise in designing ASP.NET based Graphical User Interfaces with CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML.

Ø Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Model View Controller (MVC 4.0).

Ø Extensive Experience on .Net Frameworks

Ø Working knowledge in implementing client-side JavaScript, JQuery.

Ø Proficient in HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, XML.

Ø Expertise in creating User Interfaces using Web Forms, User Controls, Custom Controls, Validation Controls and validating user inputs using validation techniques.

Ø Well versed in database programming skills - SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, User-defined Functions.

Ø Working knowledge in SSRS in generating Reports.
