Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6 months

Max rate $36/hr on c2c
Need only GC/USC/EAD GC 

SCOPE OF SERVICES 

• Build and maintain a highly fault tolerant infrastructure on public cloud.
• Build and document cutting-edge automation tools to improve capacity and velocity for software engineers and production operations.
• Share the responsibility of keeping data-intensive, high-volume, real-time service possible by maintaining and monitoring our infrastructure running around the clock. This role will contribute in bringing optimal solutions in maintaining a scalable infrastructure, which supports new services and users.
• Contribute to the development of new standards for our environment.
• Manage configuration changes for the deployed systems.
• Perform periodic on-call duty as part of a team maintaining the availability and performance of the platform and the various services and systems that the core interfaces depend on.
• Maintain services hosted in Windows Azure.
• Create and modify automation scripts for Windows environment.
• Maintain tools to automate server setup and other tasks as necessary for effective system administration.
• Implement and manage service monitoring configurations.
• Develop/builds IT solutions to meet business requirements.
• Develop and/or implements reusable components.
• Experience as a software developer working as part of a team; Expertise in designing, developing, testing, and deploying IT solutions.
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment; Strong grasp of automation tools.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options, recommendations, and additional actions relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks and resolving escalated items.
• Windows system administration, network troubleshooting skills
• Requires working knowledge of two or more programming and scripting languages - C# (or Java), HTML, Java Script and PowerShell.
• Cloud-based service experience; Windows Azure
• Proficient with load balancing, storage, and clustering technologies.
• Understand core operational processes - incident and problem management, configuration and change management, working with SLAs.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• 0-2 years of programming experience.
• 0-2 years' related experience in DevOps and/or technology operations.
• C# and PowerShell
• Windows Azure Services – Compute, Storage, Virtual Networks
• Windows Server 2012 – Active Directory
• SQL 2012
• System Center – SCCM, SCOM
• SharePoint 2013

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experiences.
