Position: EDI Administrator

The EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Administrator is responsible for supporting the business community by working directly with customers and our EDI vendor (IBM) to establish and maintain inbound and outbound EDI connections related to sales, purchase orders, and payments.
The EDI Administrator supports the business with EDI issues to promptly triage and resolve problems. This position is responsible for all EDI related tasks as well as the implementation and/or maintenance of all new and/or existing EDI business processes and projects. The EDI Administrator is also responsible for ensuring all customer and user inquiries or problems are quickly and adequately addressed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide EDI specs to our IBM Sterling EDI provider
• Coordinate projects and communication with our IBM Sterling EDI provider and other business stakeholders
• Define EDI reporting requirements and gaps. Work with other IT members to develop/test these reports and ensure reports are used effectively by applicable IT and business employees.
• Track and resolve EDI production system problems
• Develop clear responsibilities, processes and procedures pertaining to EDI and SPS, our EDI provider as follows:
• Maintain and develop trading partner relationships with customers/vendors
• Liaison between Customers, Distribution Centers, National Accounts, MIS and Credit.
• Research, track and problem resolution for our DC's with any problems pertaining to an EDI customer.
• Develop and maintain EDI info and processes on corporate intranet web site
• Work with department members and end users to resolve issues
• Assist with rollout of any new customer programs or EDI account set-ups.

Computer Skills
• EDI X12 Standards
• Minimum of 2 years SAP iDoc experience
• Overall knowledge of SAP SD process flow
• Understanding of mappings EDI to application file and vice versa
• Strong PC skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Transaction sets – 211, 310, 312, 315, 810, 812, 816, 820, 823, 824, 843, 850, 855, 856, 860, 864, 870, 940, 945, 997, Lockbox, VMI
• Certificate generation for AS2 and profile application
