Re: [MTC Global] Richard Branson on 'Modernizing Education'

Time is like our eye sight. You can only see so far.  With the process of aging the sense of time and place is also lost. Time may be eternal but history is nothing but recycled knowledge full of distortions and contradictions.  So let us separate the two- time is eternal but the history is all made up. I do not see any connection between colonial history of India and birth of Internet or social media or anything that may happen in this new century. Following your argument nothing repeats itself the same way, including past, present or future. And as far as we know, only astrologers mislead people into believing in the future. No one can predict the future. One can only use conjectures to explain the vastness of the unknown. Cheers.

Time is a continuing infinite flow having no start or end. In fact, time is non measurable. Hour, minutes, etc., are the time-measures devised by man for reference purpose only. Man has an infinitesimal vision of time who divides time for the sake of convenience as past and future  wrt the present, the very moment  the man is in.

Therefore,

Present is the past of the future and the future of the past. Though past, present and future are inseparable, they are interdependent, connected and interacting with each other, namely, the past gives birth to the present that gives birth to the future.

Present being on the giant shoulders of the past initiates modernization and so always remains modern.

Sir Richard as always makes an important point .

However I don't think the two are mutually exclusive .. good education should facilitate both .
