Job Description

 

Responsibilities:

·         DevOps Engineer works closely with various development teams on successful deployment from testing environments through to Production, the design & implementation of appropriate Production monitoring/alerting solutions, as well as investigation/analysis of infrastructure initiatives & issues.

·         Design, deploy and manage a Continuous Integration System which includes automated testing and automated notification of results.

·         Provide day-to-day support to manage development tools, code repositories and utilities currently deployed, upgrading when necessary in the least disruptive manner.

·         Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of the build and test systems

·         Maintain build environments, build history, and communicate results.

·         Troubleshoot compile and build failures, and facilitate resolution.

·         Improve speed, efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment, automating wherever possible.

·         Create and maintain Continuous Integration process documentation.

·         Develop and support backup and recovery strategies.

 

Basic Qualifications:

·         The successful candidate for this seasoned position will have 7-10 years of experience, enjoy problem solving, troubleshooting and investigation in cross-functional environments, take responsibility for issues, be highly motivated to learn and enjoy working on a high energy team in a very collaborative environment.

·         Must have worked in an Agile/Scrum environment.

·         Should have worked in Continuous Integration (CI) OR Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) Environment and should have experience in administering continuous integration (CI), delivery and build automation tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Hudson, etc.)

·         Experience with COTS and Open Source tools.

·         Familiarity with J2EE application development and Java application servers (WebLogic, Websphere, Tomcat)

·         Knowledge of source control management systems (e.g. Subversion, Git)

·         Experience with build scripting tools (e.g. Ant, Maven)

·         Familiarity with unit testing and code-coverage tools as well as test automation techniques and tools.

 

Technical proficiency in below tools and platforms is mandatory: SVN (Subversion), ClearQuest, Jenkins, Maven, Oracle, Java, JBOSS, TIBCO

Technical proficiency in below tools and platforms is preferred: Nexus, GO, iCart
