Dear JA,
If you read the article on bilingualism well, you would have seen that Denis never said our problem was linguistic. Denis only showed the fraud in what imperial Cameroun calls bilingualism, which is part of the colonisation agenda. I have studied the Southern Cameroons question from every angle possible, and would never make such a mistake. I am a Southern Cameroonian! So please correct yourself for reading such a conclusion into the article. The article says no such thing.
Denis.

Mr Mbeseha,
You make a valid argument when you state "It is very unfortunate that each time this topic comes up some of us invoke the idea that French and English are colonial languages". The context in which this statement and the purpose for which it is often made is hyprocritic. Those of us who have consistently argued that most of Africa, in particular the French Africa vassal possessions are not independent have been challenged by the same category of persons invoking the colonial mantra to attempt to silence the genuine case of the Southern Cameroons which in its contextual historical contention is a case of betrayal in search of a solution. The same aujoulatist overseers of French hegemonic and genocidal economic, political and cultural policies are the first to attempt to wrap the genuine concerns of victims in the flap of circumstantial colonialism. Tempt their sincerity about combating colonialism and neo-colonialism by advocating tossing the CFA Francs and French military cooperations or the institutional corruption written in the French imposed bastardized Constitution of the Fifth Republic on a supposed independent La Republic du Cameroun under French administration, and you feel the full weight of resentment and hatred unprecedented since the assassination of Mpodol Um Nyobe, the ideological icon Ernest Ouandie and hundreds of thousands of freedom fighters who were assassinated for daring to seek genuine independence. The genocidal onslaught that is ongoing in Wum and parts of the Southern Cameroons may satisfy those intent in combating " colonialism" on the sole basis that the freedom minded people of Wum dared to assert their right to rid their land of the symbols of concolonial imposition. But the gamble in Wum is a critical error in resolving a wrong which violence alone will never resolve. As if the Boko Haram war of terror is not enough, the escalation of violence in Wum and parts of the Southern Cameroons appears to be a deliberate aujoulatism political ploy to eternalise power purportedly to maintain peace. Unfortunately violence and oppression have never ever defeated a liberation ideology. Were that the case, then no one would have been venerating Ernest Ouandie, Mpodol and others in this French possession. Inspite all the confusion that a misreading and misunderstanding of the Southern Cameroons case have generated, three solutions on how to resolve the problem seem to have clearly emerged. They are: the credible case laid out by Ambazonia, the violent repression option advocated by the Aujoulatist vassal state overseers and there is the credible Historical Contention Solution well laid out by Dr Yagnye. I advise those intending to find a peaceful solution to this problem and the problem of colonialism and genuine independence for free peoples to critically study these options and then and only then can there be an informed discussion on the way forward.

Subject: [99net] Re: CAMEROON BILINGUALISM: A MIGHTY FRAUD!
Hi Mr. Sanda Oumarou,
I am sure no one will rightly question your right to be an African Cameroonian. What I personally question is whether you have ever understood the meaning of institutional bilingualism (French and English) as proclaimed by the Constitution of La Republique du Cameroun, the country you served as Government Minister. If you understand it kindly let us know how many texts ever emanated from your Ministry in French and English. Although you were born in Ngaoundere, which is in French speaking Cameroon you seem to be able to speak or understand both French and English. However at the time you were Minister how many of your Directors, Chiefs of Services and others with equivalent ranks could express themselves in the two official languages of Cameroon. It is very unfortunate that each time this topic comes up some of us invoke the idea that French and English are colonial languages. It looks like those who belong to this camp would have loved to adopt all or some African languages as their official medium of doing official business.. Interestingly for Mr. Sanda Oumarou, I wonder if he can speak , talk less of writing even any other three of the several dozens of local languages spoken in Cameroon. We can argue whether colonialism was a good or bad idea. To me,that is a mute argument. All we know as a fact is that as bad as colonialism was, (and many important countries around the world including the USA) were colonized most of what we do in our daily lives today is a relic of the colonial period. From the schools we attend, the hospital we go to when we are sick to the roads and cars we drive on are all remnants of our colonial masters. What I understand Denis to mean in his write up is the fact that bilingualism as proclaimed in the constitution of Cameroon is a farce. If you choose to react, try to show us how this bilingualism is successful. Don't tell us the goodness in speaking English or French. The current 1996 Cameroon constitution was adopted with full knowledge that bilingualism (the use of French and English) in official administrative services will be practiced with equality at all times. Correct me if I am wrong.

Brother Denis,
Our problem is Colonization and Annexation and the Non Implementation of UN Resolutions. Our problem is not linguistic. In this day and age, knowing both French and English is win/win. It is noteworthy that by dissolving that illegal Union in 1984, President Biya gave us Our Restoration on a gold platter. We can take it if we really want it and focus on taking it. This is HRH Fon Gorji Dinka's lamentation that PEOPLE with Internationally defined boundaries by Treaties and who have been rejected keep going round and round and round and round instead of enforcing their internal and external legal victories.
