Re: CAMEROON GROUP USA ELECTIONS UPDATE

10 Good Reasons Why Francophones Will Support an Anglophone 4 Presidency 2018
1) Poetic Justice: A Vote for Anglophone 4 Presidency would be an act of poetic justice on the part of francophones who have since independence benefited from unflinching support from Anglophones in all electoral consultations.
2) A balancing Act: A vote for an Anglophone 4 Presidency 2018 would be a balancing act after the 1961 plebiscite where Anglophones voted to become independent by joining LA Republique, and so, if 50 years after the union, francophones also vote to sustain this union by jointly supporting an Anglophone for Cameroon' s President, it will enhance the hitherto heralded bond of brotherliness between the two peoples.
3) Peace, Unity and stability: A majority francophone support for an Anglophone for Presidency 2018 would be a vote for continuous peace, unity and stability of Cameroon, and a dosing off of perceptions of second class citizenship.
4) Fundamental domestic principles: By supporting an Anglophone for presidency 2018 francophones would be demonstrating in triumphant detail their attachment to a fundamental democratic value, which is that of respect and support for the minority.
5) Politic Na njangi: By supporting an Anglophone for Presidency 2018 francophones would be voting for an exemplary and inclusive Cameroon where both francophones and anglophones enjoy the same rights and responsibilities and where Rt. Hon Achidi Achu's notion of 'politic Na njangi' is translated into concrete reality.
6) Common wealth: A majority support by francophones of an Anglophone candidate for presidency 2018 would be an added advantage for them to enjoy the real Anglo Saxon values of transparency, accountability, respect of institutions, and the common wealth as well as the standardization of procedures in doing government business.
7) Scientific advancements: By supporting an Anglophone for presidency 2018 by the majority francophones would be a vote for the advancement of Cameroon in scientific discovery which is the hall mark of Anglo Saxon ism.
8) Operationalization of bilingualism: A vote for an Anglophone for Presidency of 2018 would be a vote for the making of Cameroon a truly bilingual country where its sons and daughters enjoy its fruits in the committee of nations.
9) Dignity and respect: By supporting an anglophone for presidency 2018 francophone Cameroonians would be voting for dignity and respect by the international community given the central role English plays in international politics and international financial institutions.
10) Results_based educational system: A vote for an anglophone for presidency of 2018 would be externalization by the majority francophone Cameroon of their love for our Anglo Saxon educational system which forms the building blocks for a decent life and society free of rampant corruption, embezzlement and sycophancy.

Brothers and Sisters, Fellow Cameroonians, Beloved Community:

As you might already be aware, the Cameroon Group (USA) General Assembly created a Mobilization Committee at our last town hall meeting in November of last year (2015). The Committee of seven (now six) members (please see names below) was charged with the task of community mobilization, membership drive and conducting elections for a new CAMGUSA Administration.

Numerous emails have been going around in the community, together with word of mouth, for some time now, informing everyone of this opportunity to give our beloved CAMGUSA a new look and direction. Of course, the community mobilization & sensitization process is on-going and results are encouraging.

As per the elections, the Mobilization Committee has set the Cameroon Group election date for March 5th, 2016. Venue is the hall located at 11011 Crenshaw Blvd, Inglewood, 90303. Initially the response was slow, as many members of the community did not believe elections would actually hold. However, as it is getting more and more obvious that the Mobilization Committee means business, the community enthusiasm is on the rise, and response to our messages is overwhelmingly positive. Yes that change you have long yearned for is here at last!

Consequently, due to popular request and the need to ensure full participation and level field for all, the Mobilization Committee is extending the candidate acceptance (application) deadline to Monday February 29, 2016 at noon.  Meanwhile, we are seizing this opportunity to congratulate the individuals listed below on their patriotism and quest for community service. We have received their applications to contest the forth-coming elections. By sequence of arrival, they include:

- Epalle Nseke - for president
- Boniface Tsobnang - for President
- Ivo Nkwenji - for President
 - Kevin Njabo - for Vice president
 -
Beloved Community, this is the opportunity you have longed for all the while. Be part of this change by participating in this election process. Please see attached application forms.
The available positions are: President; Vice president; General Secretary; Treasurer; Public Relations Officer; Financial Secretary; Events Coordinator.

Thank you all.

Dr. Peter T. Ako (Committee Reporter).
(Committee Full List: Betty Elad; David Singui, Florence Akaya, Kuji Mundi, Tim Eyambe, Peter Ako)
