How I wished we could act inteligently/ physically than with only words on
our key boards! Positioning in a murdrous/genocidal political party is no virture
Cycophant praising of the aggressor only render the resulting booties ephemeral.
How I wished Nick Ngwanyam shut up!!!

I have stumbled on some of Dr. Ngwanyam's followers who invoke the claim of a "philosopher king". One is tempted to think that Dr. Ngwanyam wants to own up to the idea of a "philosopher king" by rewriting reality as he sees fit. One wonders why as a medical doctor wanting to be a CPDM politician and senator he can not have a chat with you on what he thinks and see how you situate it.
The man has never cared to understand why the Late Dr. Barpes Barpes chicked into Nkondongui and came back to resume his miniterial position when the powers that be in the CPDM have never forgiven and forgotten the lone mistake of a Dr. Ngwanyam honoring his medical ethnic over the corpse of Louis, the stranger in Bertoua. In an attempt to override this and gain access to being a CPDM insider, he employs his "philosopher king" understanding in reworking the Southern Cameroons (Anglophone) issue to be the equivalent of his pathetic examples.
Mr. Biya just signed a decree changing the legal status of the CDC and went at length to include moving its headquarters to anywhere as happened to the West Cameroon Marketing Board and the Cameroon Bank. Does Dr. Ngwanyam know of a public enterprise East of the Mungo whose legal existence was changed by decree and made to relocate to the West of the Mungo?
What exactly is Dr. Ngwanyam's example of the North West marginalizing the South West? He prices becoming senator so high that having three West Cameroon head of government come from the North West is his possible example of marginalization of the South West by the North West. At the time when infrastructural development was expanding in the South West under these heads of governments, the marjority of the people in the North West would have not cared trading those heads of government for having these infrastructural developments take place in the North West.
Given the present pathetic state of the Kumba-Loum road, Dr. Ngwanyam does not know that that road was constructed and tarred at the time of these North West persons being head of government in Buea. Similarly was the construction of the Douala-Victoria Road, the Mutengene-Kumba Road, the linking of Kumba to Mbanga by rail, etc. Who in the North west would not have traded these heads of government for a well constructed Bamenda-Bafoussam Road and a Kumbo-Bafoussam Road at that time as the links between West and East? Does Dr. Ngwanyam think that Biya moved the Government Technical College, Ombe and Bilingual High School, Molyko by decree from the North West to the South West? Dr. Ngwanyam does not know that Cameroon Bank as a source of credit at the time of the West Cameroon government never had a branch in Bamenda.
If the people in Mezam think the people in Donga-Mantung are primitive by some primitive estimation, that is not the same as the former marginalizing the latter. Growning up I knew the people in the present South West to hold contempt for those of the present North West on account of such primitive measure of primitiveness. Interestingly Dr. Ngwanyam wants to have it both ways as to extend it Nso-Oku-Noni and Nkambe-Nwa-Ako/Mesaje.
Informed by his wanting to be senator through the CPDM, Dr. Ngwanyam has not shown how the people of Bamenda or Nso stopped the man from Oku becoming governor and another becoming Prime Minister. He has not shown the Wimbum people having never had a minister having stopped the Late Dr. Monie of Nwa becoming Minister of Transport, Dr. Gentry of Mesaje being member of government and the Late Dr. Jikong of Nwa beating Dr. Ngwanyam to have been senator.
What is this nonsense of likening the plight of the people of the Southern Cameroons (Anglophones) to what obtains in his own concocted understanding of a polygamous family? It is pathetic that married to a princess he can afford such an uninformed comparison. Royalty in the North West epitomizes polygamy. The many successful Angwafors and Ghogomus, among others I have met, are never aways from the same mother.
One would think that informed by his primary profession he is better placed to understand that marginalization born of subjugation creats survival tendecies which he confuses with the act of marginalization and subjugation. These tendencies are the result and not the cause of subjugation and marginalization. In progressive thought, "It is not our consciousness that determines our social existence; rather, our social existence determines our consciousness". If by Dr. Ngwanyam's postulation the man in Mezam (Santa) is responsible for the poor road from Bamenda to Nkambe, could the man in Mezam or Santa equally be responsible for the poor road from Bamenda to Bafoussam? There was a simple prayer about keeping one's mouth shut until one knows what one is talking about. The Southern Cameroons (Anglophone) expereince in the Cameroun dispensation is more than an opportunistic and simplistic postulation of the type presented by Dr. Ngwanyam.

Dr Ngwanyam,There is no tribe in Cameroon called ''Bamileke'' unless you mean a group of tribes. In which case you should always be making your comparison with another group of tribes. Maybe you have never known that these people speak different languages. On the other hand, the so-called Bamilileke are not marginalizing ''us'' in Business in Bamenda regardless of whether your ''us'' means Anglophones or Wimbum.I agree that these people are hard working but they would have been LESS SUCCESSFUL if they whole of the West Region fell under the Anglophone Cameroon. Wimbum are no less hard working. All of us know the Wimbum Problem which if solved we can beat all others.A book of 1000 pages and more can be written on Anglophone marginalization.Tanwarong

Subject: [wimbum] WHAT IS THE ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM?
WHAT IS THE ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM?Anglophone Problem = A + B+ CA= Marginalization by the Francophone.B= marginalization of the Anglophone elite of his brother through blackmail and witch hunting.C= the Anglophone who has the capacity and fails to do his own home work right.B and c are the hanging fruit that we can correct ourselves while waiting to deal with marginalization from without. Deal first with what is within. If you cannot start by solving the problem at your nose that is within your reach, you cannot deal with what lies beyond. The marginalization by the Francophone is not new, nor special. Ask South Westerners and they will tell you they are marginalized by their North West brothers. Those of us from other divisions think that Mezam or rather Santa marginalizes us.If you ask Noni and Oku people, they will tell you they are not happy with the Banso. The Wimbum people seem to be sitting on those from Misaje, Ako and Nwa. Ask the people from these peripheries and they will swear to that.Check with your polygamous families, you will notice that children from one woman sit on the children from another womb.Did you say the Black and Hispanics are marginalized in America? What about the Christians in India? Do the Baptist think they are marginalized by the Catholics?Did you notice that the Bamilekes are marginalizing us in business in Bamenda? Who stopped you from competing with them? Yes there is marginalization, but you fight it by doing your homework. The Israelites are not as numerous as the Arabs in the Middle East. Technologically and financially, they marginalize those in that area. You could say that the others have a lot of money from oil. However, the quality of manpower and the quality of your brains and capacity to solve problems makes all the difference.A large ignorant majority is no good. This shows you that technology, savoire-faire and doing your home work are the best tools for fighting marginalization. Writing from a keyboard in America without changing the economics and quality/dynamics on the ground is hot air.Yes, I accept 100% that Francophones marginalize us. There is no question about that. Go to the US Embassy in Yaounde and check the Cameroonian staff that are there. There are more Francophones ( Bamilekes) that Anglophones. Find out from the Ambassador why they were so unjust to do such a thing. Check out with MTN and it would be the same. Can you sincerely tell me why it is so?The blame game can only keep us locked away for the next century.Dr Nick Ngwanyam, MD 237 677764674. www.saintlouisuniversitybamenda.comWhat goes further than IMAGINATION?
