LETTER OF 20 JANUARY 1960 TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF FRANCE TO THE UNITED NATIONS
======
In a letter of 13 January, which was circulated on 19 January as Security Council document S/4256, Mr. Ahidjo, the Prime Minister and Head of the Cameroons Government, applied to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for admission of the State of the Cameroons to membership in the United Nations.
The independence of the Cameroons was proclaimed on 1 January 196C. The Cameroons has all the qualifications for United Nations membership.   The General Assembly recommended on 13 March 1959, in resolution 1359 (XIII), that it should be admitted to membership in the United Notions upon its attainment of independence.

I therefore have the honour to request you to convene the Security Council, in accordance with the wish expressed by the Head of the Cameroons Government, with a view to recommending the admission of the State of the Cameroons to membership in the United Nations.

I have the honour to be, etc

LETTER OF 13 JANUARY I960 FROM THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE STATE OF
THE CAMEROONS
TO THE SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS
                                                                                 =============
Inasmuch as the United Nations General Assembly had decided on 13 March 1959, on the proposal of the French Government, to terminate as from 1 January 1960 the trusteeship status of the State of the Cameroons, the latter became completely independent on that date•

Desiring to assume in full its new international responsibilities and to co-operate in the work of the United Nations, the Cameroons Government has decided to apply without delay for admission of the State of the Cameroons to membership in the United Nations.

I therefore have the honour to request you, on behalf of my Government, to submit the application of the State of the Cameroons for consideration by the Security Council, in accordance with Article h of the United Nations Charter, with a view to obtaining the recommendation required for its inclusion on the agenda of the next General Assembly.

The Government of the State of the Cameroons declares herewith that it accepts the obligations contained in the United Nations Charter and is able to carry them out.   It solemnly undertakes to comply with them in all good faith.

I have the honour to be, etc;

                                                 (Signed)   A. AHIDJO

Who can tell me that the name "Cameroons or Cameroon or Cameroun" is not a factor to the gradual loss of our sovereign statehood? If France and Ahidjo applied for the Admission of state of Cameroons, is there any like with name changing syndrome from 1961 to 1984? The Ambazonia original six had seen it far back and by 1985 in the New Social Order it state; "If the expression "Southern Cameroons" has exposed us to any annexationist ambitions, then we will henceforth call ourselves AMBAZONIA"
Is someone seeing what I am looking from this two documents?  Can one wonder why there was no serious business after the 1608 (XV), because we had longed been sold. The ground work for annexation longed been laid right under our eyes. Can we now understand why Cameroon will openly admit that only one admission application was made at the United Nations? -- ie for the "Cameroons" way back before we got the fake "independent by joining"
Can one reconcile the fact that the original Southern Cameroons Order-in-Council (Independent Constitution) stated that it was to go operational on 1st October 1960? -- just the very time Britain launched Nigeria into independent and started mafia on Ambazonia because there was no unity between Foncha and Endeley. The very cancan warm that has been eating us from Restoration Council, to SDF, to Ambazonia Republic, to CAM, to SCNC, SCYL, SCAPO is still alive and strong. Think of what happened with Endeley lead our people from Nigeria with one voice. When they came home everybody became so intelligent and no one had the interest of the young nation.

Ambazonia had defined this struggle as purely occupation/annexation/ subjugation period. Once we stop occupation, human rights will stop, discrimination will stop, marginalization will stop, and illegality will stop. If words due have meaning then we should think twice to make we use words that will add value to ourselves and not to hang on something the Whiteman gave us with weighing the consequence on us.
