[MTC Global] HOW TO MANAGE FAILURE--Learning from Failures

HOW TO MANAGE FAILURE--Learning from Failures

Guidelines

Learning at three fronts:

1.       Any member may like to evaluate any failure faced by him/her

2.       A member may have firsthand knowledge of certain failure, he/she can analyze the cause and effect

3.       One may share any published material that may be available on the subject.

There will be two basic provisions to the dialogue:

1.       Name of the organization not to be mentioned though other details may be given. ( If one wants to give, s/he is free to do so).

2. Like in the case of organizations, in case the failure story refers to an individual (other than the members himself/herself), name of the individual is not to be mentioned.

3.  While narrating the case, sweeping value judgments (like Right or Wrong) may not be passed.

4. If it is the member's own experience, the writer may state:

a)  Why does he /she consider it a failure?

b)  What is the learning out of it?

5.       There cannot be any debate, however, clarification may be sought by the reader and the original writer of the story may respond if he/she feels comfortable.

The purpose of the whole exercise is to learn from others' failure and every reader is free to interpret available information in his/her own way. No debates, no arguments, no correction in the given information or data.
