POSITION: Java AWS Software Engineer

Job Overview:

Position Description:

 

We are looking for someone with strong technical, interpersonal, communications, and analytic skills, and the ability to work closely with our program manager, product managers, business analysts, architects, QA engineers, software engineers.  Prior knowledge of and experience with Java AWS cloud based development experience is essential.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with the product manager and business analyst to understand platform requirements (business, functional and non-functional)
• Design and implement platform services using AWS Java SDK to satisfy software requirement
• Responsible for implementing unit test automation to ensure high level software quality
• Performs regular code reviews.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software product or solution design, implementation, release, and maintenance

• Strong development experience in Java (> 5+ years)

• At least 2 years of practical working experience with cloud computing – AWS SDK for Java

• Hands-on experience with EC2, Docker, DynamoDB, S3 and other AWS technologies

• Hands-on with Jenkins, Git

• Strong knowledge and experience with micro services design patterns

• Experience with front-end development is a strong plus. Familiar with AngularJS.

• Familiar with DevOps process

• Excellent in software performance tuning

• Excellent analytical and problem solving ability

• Excellent written and oral communication skill

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
