Required Skills:
In this role you will be the lead architect responsible for data governance and MDM strategy Analytics & Data Solutions platform. You will be responsible for establishing and leading technology roadmaps that enable the business to drive data governance & management across the organization. You will design, develop and maintain the enterprise information methodologies and techniques, including standards and guidelines for enterprise wide use in technical management and systems development processes. You will develop specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. You will provide technical management and systems solutions to large, strategic, complex system development projects involving multiple platforms, distributed processing, multi-tier client server and web-based applications.
Responsibilities:
· Establish and lead the data governance & MDM strategy and technology roadmaps
· Designs and develops IT information management architecture (data governance, master data management, metadata management, data quality, data curation, integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards
· Skilled at leveraging cloud platform, big data technologies, open source software and information management architecture & framework.
· Provides consultation to Market CIO, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range information strategy. Recommends innovations, which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy.
· Reviews and ensures major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost effective.
· Works with application teams to identify functional requirements that drive technology that enables business functionality.
· Develop architectural strategies and direction to deliver new customer engagement models.
· Participate with application and infrastructure design architects to provide guidance for development and deployment patterns.
· Develops strategies and architectures which support advanced security topics such as Vulnerability Lifecycle Management, Identity Management, Intrusion Detection, Authentication, Authorization and Auditing.
· Consult with application development and infrastructure development project teams to fit systems to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.
· Responsible for prototyping complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologies. Recommends emerging technological solutions to increase market share and reduce operational costs.
· Analyze technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the business.
· Influences technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate these into business plans.
· Influences the selection of hardware and software product standards and the design of standard configurations; makes significant contributions to market-centric technology roadmaps and architectural principles.
· Active participation in selected enterprise projects working closely with architects from other markets and the infrastructure organization.
· Develops and manages effective working relationships with other departments, groups, peers, and subordinates (data management, security, and infrastructure).
· Map architecture strategy to business strategy.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline; Master's preferred.
· 10 years of architecture experience in applications development in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
· Experienced in building data & analytics platform in cloud (AWS) is highly preferred.
· Experienced in big data (Hadoop) development techniques is highly preferred.
· Experience in MDM tools not limited to Informatica, IBM, Reltio is highly preferred.
· Expert in business intelligence and data warehousing development techniques highly preferred.
· Data modeling expertise at the enterprise level highly preferred.
· Experience with ETL/ data integration methodologies.
· Experience with the following tools and technologies; Teradata, Informatica, Cognos, SQL, and SAS.
· Extensive experience in layered solutions and designs, diverse technical configurations, across multiple technologies and processing environments.
· In-depth understanding of business operations, objectives and strategies including but not limited to, insurance industry, financial services, global business and technology trends.
· Knowledgeable in software engineering languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies.
· Strong leadership skills; coaching and mentoring skills.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
· High degree of flexibility and ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization with diverse backgrounds.
· Strong desire to drive change.
· Strong consulting skills (relevant/technical); recognized as a thought leader within the company.
· Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short term implications of decisions.
