Position: Citrix Engineer
Location: Kansas City, MO
Duration:6+ Months
Position Overview:
A Systems Engineer, specializing in Citrix, is responsible for defining and implementing complex projects within the Virtual Desktop environment with a main focus on the Citrix XenMobile technology as well as GPO deployment, AD integration, and all facets of Citrix product deployments, implementation, and maintenance.
Specific Tasks:
· Knowledge and experience with implementation of highly available and secure Citrix XenApp/Presentation Server farms
· Knowledge and experience with Citrix server build standards, automation and provisioning
· Knowledge and experience with 3rd level support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of Citrix XenApp. Troubleshooting includes, but is not limited to; isolating problems, recommending proper solutions and implementing solutions.
· Knowledge and experience with Citrix XenDesktop
· Knowledge and experience with implementing and or\supporting Citrix XenMobile Suite—includes support infrastructure and end-user support.
· Knowledge and experience with Profile management suite: AppSense, Citrix Profile Manager
· Knowledge and experience with building and supporting Citrix Netscaler
· Knowledge and experience with Windows, Active Directory and Group Policy.
· Knowledge and experience with relevant networking specifications, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
· Knowledge of Windows Registry, Profile Management and Application Packaging
· Strong understanding of Citrix ICA client types
· Strong understanding of applications integration in a Windows Terminal Server environment
· Strong understanding of session printing and Citrix policies
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent people skills
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies and processes
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Ability to establish and define automated system installation/configuration procedures
· Excellent analytical skills
· Ability to identify and troubleshoot performance issues
· Ability to establish best practices for monitoring and forecasting of system/application capacity
Required Skills & Experience:
· BS degree or equivalent experience
· Previous experience in an organization responsible for the delivery of technical solutions as per business requirements
· Attention to detail, multitasking skills, and timely follow-through in executing responsibilities
· Attitude and aptitude to learn
· Flexible team player able to work independently with minimal guidance
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in MS Office tools. Visio proficiency desired.
