I suggest that MTC send a letter and an e-mail directly to MHRD in-charge Smriti Irani expressing disappointment of the institutions in category B who are doing as good as many A grade institutions and would have been happy to be ranked. We feel exercise presently carried out simply waste of tax payers' money and officers are NIRF should be made accountable for their failure to deliver and it should be made sure that either the body is disband or it delivers the results next year for sure.

Subject: Re: [MTC Global] NIRF- India Ranking 2016
Dear all,
I was present yesterday in event, it was sheer mock of B- Category institutions. We all put efforts to comply the requirements and they said the institutions didn't send the information in required format.
They just found escape and surrendered.
I wasted my day and resources, for which I felt guilt.
What is the fun in rating Government-Prominent institutions, nobody wants your endorsement for IIM-A!!!
Really felt bad!!

The Ministry of Human Resource and Development on Monday released a list of top 10 educational institutions in the country under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) – a first-of-its-kind indigenous ranking framework.
As per the NIRF list for engineering institutions, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras ranks first, followed by IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur. For management studies, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore beats IIM Ahmedabad to rank number one.
Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani released the 'India Rankings 2016' on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan.
