Re: [MTC Global] suggestions - reg.

Dear Professsor,
In addition to the suggestions of Prof. Parameswari, let
me add that the management teachers should take the prime
responsibility in improving management education in our
country. There should be more focus on sharing empirical
studies. In order to share such experiences,I suggest that
each manegement teacher should take up empirical research
projects/ studies dealing with some of the current
problems faced by agriculture sector, as well as the
problems and challenges faced by the industry in terms of
land acquisition, R&R, CSR, EIA clearance. In such
projects, the students should be associated with
collection of secondary and primary data through field
visits. They should be train ined how to design an
interview schedule and to collect primary data through
direct interview or by conducting group interview by using
PRA techniques. this will facilitate the students to
understand the grassroot problems and to identify the
remedial solutions.
This will provide an opportunity for industry-academia
interactions and the students to familiarise with the societal
issues.
With warm wiashes,
Binayak Rath
