URGENT: 'EPIDEMIC' FEARED AS GOATS, CYPRESS TREES DIE IN NW REGION
There are fears of an outbreak of an 'epidemic' in the, North West of Cameroon, following the suspicious death of animals, goats in particular and the withering of trees mostly cypress, since early March 2016.
Goats are being auctioned with the prices witnessing a tremendous drop. The Nkambe, Kumbo, Ndop and other areas in Donga Mantung Division are said to be the most hit.
The population remains worried in the midst of the silence of local authorities and the Ministries of Livestock, Forestry and Wild Life and the one for Scientific Research and Innovation.
