Role: Cisco UC Engineer
Duration: 6-12 Months
Location: McLean, VA
Over time will be required to meet time lines and assigned task. During the testing and deployment phase nights and weekend work will be required
Job Description:
Customer is deploying an On-site Cisco voice solution. Currently the customer is using a Cisco hosted voice solution (HCS). The project team will be planning, designing, lab testing, deploying, and deployment testing (component level failure validation) transition and troubleshooting.
The project team is looking for two Cisco Collaboration CCIE engineers to be onsite for a minimum of 6 months to support all aspects of the project, including but not limited to providing: design, product research, use cases, test cases, and documentation. Also provide support for Non-Cisco products for example CDR system, E911, Carrier SIP, I&M archiving, Nortel integration, IPC integration.
Job Responsibilities
Review Designs:
· Cisco Voice solution, CUCM, Unity Conn. CUBE, SRST, IM&P, UCCX, Jabber Client.
· Cisco Expressway (C&E), Prime Collaboration Assurance and Provisioning, and WebEx integration.
· Provision resources for Voice/Video conferences.
· SIP PSTN access.
· VM Design, UCS B-Series blade servers.
· Request and review data from Hosted Cisco solution.
Review Project Plan:
· Request and review data needed from the Hosted Cisco solution.
· Review and provide feedback on timelines, tasks and testing required.
· Review and provide feedback on transition plan, including types of data that will be need from hosted solution.
Lab testing:
· Plan and design lab solution.
· Document test cases and execute test cases.
Deployment:
· Install and configure all equipment, routers (SRST), Voice gateways and applications.
· Provide testing and use cases.
· Move PRI, test analog lines etc.
· Onsite support during deployments
Qualifications:
· CCIE preferred, but a Sr. level engineer with strong experience will be considered
· 6+ years in a related environment
