Re: [camnetwork] Fw: Culprits Identified in the Human Trafficking Saga in Bamenda

Let me answer this one as it is interesting and the Scians are running away from it.

"In other words, the English speaking Journalists were rather mimsy, prim and even overtly dismissive and extravagantly boastful, castigating our "investigations" and suggestions as not being "News-worthy enough" for their News Organizations.

You will not tell US that the Ekinneh of this world are "mimsy, prim and even overtly dismissive and extravagantly boastful, castigating". Cameroon  Journal wanted to do it but to over insulted them for no reason

"We are very grateful to the Francophone "LA SCENE HEBDO" (a Yaoundé/Douala based) Newspaper, which agreed (with no pre-conditions or colaterals) and decided to send a team of Investigators to Bamenda, risking their lives to cover this story for us.

Really???? So a team of journalist from la "republic" accepted to gracefully travel from la republic to go to "Southern Cameroon" to enter a "new marriage by force with no pre-conditions or colaterals"!!!

Vraiment! Trust me if it was about how Tagne is sleeping with "Anglophone woman/ have no papa" or bla bla etc the bigger paawce president owner of cameroon politic, accdf etc would have paid all the "the English speaking Journalists" of this planet to report the news with the help of Colonels and Hennessy drunkers that ever existed. So as you wrote the case is not juicy. You should have put my name into it and for sure many journalists from your english whatever would have jumped on it. Don't forget that rule next time please!!!

A basic definition of Human Trafficking is, "The recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person or persons for labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery" According to the United States department of Health and Human Services, each year, over $32 billion is generated by Human Traffickers, claiming that "After Drug dealing, Trafficking of Humans is tied with arms dealing as the second largest criminal industry in the world, and is the fastest growing."

Unfortunately, our country Cameroon is now caught "Pants Down" in this criminal enterprise. The case of the eleven Bamenda kidnapped kids is apparently a tip of the iceberg in this complicated International saga.

A few months ago, we broke a story here that should have been of concern to all citizens in good standing. We reported on a crime that was actually "On-Going" with origination from Bamenda. 11 children had been kidnapped in broad daylight and the population was acting as if this was some ordinary common place felony. We actually called it then for what it was and still is: International Child Kidnapping and Trafficking.

Our own internal investigations revealed a complex "Plot" of mythical ambiguity that involved very many personalities including senior Government officials and very influential personalities. The moment these snollygosters felt threatened by media exposure, they immediately put their "A Team Defense Mechanism" in motion to thwart any prying eyes from further escalating their circuitous criminal activities. For almost one year now, the story almost got buried in the omerta of gravitational spaghettification and institutionalized secrecy that unfortunately characterizes governance in Cameroon.

We talked to a couple of "English Speaking Newspapers, TV and Radio" Editors giving them leads to this unfortunate story. Bamenda was the epicenter of this criminal syndicate and we thought giving "Anglophone Journalists" an opportunity to narrate this ordeal using their medium through investigative reporting was the divaricating thing to do. Unfortunately, our narrative did not meet the threshold for their investigative swat team to be dispatched. In other words, the English speaking Journalists were rather mimsy, prim and even overtly dismissive and extravagantly boastful, castigating our "investigations" and suggestions as not being "News-worthy enough" for their News Organizations. That's still okay. We have to work with what and who we have at hand. I have been very careful not to go as far as mentioning that we were asked to "Pay Gombo" (Bribe/Tchoko) to get the story out. How scary and crazy is that?

We are very grateful to the Francophone "LA SCENE HEBDO" (a Yaoundé/Douala based) Newspaper, which agreed (with no pre-conditions or colaterals) and decided to send a team of Investigators to Bamenda, risking their lives to cover this story for us. As you may have noticed, the story is in French but we will get a professional translator to render the contents of the four months Investigations into English language.

A few greedy "Community Activists", top flight Civil Servants and local politicians, some unscrupulous officials of the Justice department, Law Enforcement cannot hold an entire nation hostage with practices that bring disrepute to the entire nation. We will not stand for that nonsense any longer. Enough is enough.

So far, although culprits have been identified, no one has yet been arraigned  As a reminder; of the eleven children kidnapped in Bamenda, only five have been miraculously found. What has the extravagant chest thumping pantagruelian government of Prime Minister Yang Philemon done to assuage the fears of the citizens of his country in general and his Bamendrous constituency in particular? Shall the population continue to the pilloried by the diktats of the pyroclastic well-connected; opportunistic fly-by-nite NGO operatives; unscrupulous rustic politicians cum civil servants, corrupt law enforcement tax-payer paid Judicial officers; fake criminal religious operatives? Has Bamenda become the epicenter of Human, Child, Sex Trafficking in the sub-region with some Nigerian "Evangelicals" remote-controlling?
That is the "kweshion".
