Dear Sir, Earlier, it was believed and rightly so that Management was essentially
concerned with costs, prices, profits as concerning trade and commercially driven
transactions. This view has undergone change. Management has outgrown this definition to
include managing people, operations, logistics, information, security of data,
stakeholder expectations, Technology, the environment and many more realms beyond plain
commerce and economics. Naturally, the education in management requires the integration
of many specialties and hence people having knowledge of these disciplines and the
ability to integrate them to find solutions to diverse problems would be best suited.
Best regards,

Management is one of the child of Commerce. Therefore, Commerce teachers can teach
Management better than a core Management teacher.

persons are dominating the MBA and having strong hold on University and UGC/AICTE ate
some extend. these people are from Commerce Post Graduate and PhD from Commerce Faculty.

>We also need to re-investigate what actually happens while recruiting faculty. Some
university selection committees and PSCs do keep aside the norms. I just quote two
examples:
>
>Production man- UG/PG in Production Egg- selected for Mechanical posts when a number of
UG/PG candidates were available in the parent branch. Believe in me Metallurgy man - UG,
PG and PhD in Metallurgy-is appointed as Professor in Mechanical Egg.Long back in 1988, a
guy with barely Second Class ME in Civil Egg was selected as Professor by one PSC while
many PhDs from IITs were available. One Third Class BE was promoted to the post of
Professor (1980's or so case) and University admitted a a third class BE candidate
sometimes in 1995 for PhD when the university rule dictates no admission to PhD prg for
III Class candidate. In fact the said candidate was just declared in pass class as in
1985 exam. he passed by parts, not in one attempt.AICTE, University and Recruitment
bodies need to be
strictly adhered to the academic qualification norms that are often
violated and once the selection process is over who will dare to cancel
their appointments under our Democratic Pattern? The mindset is "I eat, you will also
eat!".

regarding U.G.C,/ A.I.C.T.E.1. ALL THE COURSES REQUIRE ONLY 55% FOR THE ELIGIBITY FOR THE
POST OF FACULTY.2. BUT TO TEACH M.B.A. 60% IS REQUIRED.(Technical Courses)????????????3.
TO DO PH.D ONLY 55% IS ELIGIBLE4.IT MEANS ALL M.B.A's CAN DO PH.D , BUT NOT ELIGIBLE FOR
LECTURESHIP.5.ANOTHER THING IS TO WRITE NET(National Eligilibity Test) 55% IS ELIGIBLE.
(M.B.A ALSO).6.THAT MEANS WHO HAS PH.D but do not have 60% CANNOT BECOME THE LECTURER FOR
M.B.A.PROGRAMME AND FOR THOSE WHO DONT HAVE 60% MARKS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN THE SEAT IN
PH.D.ALSO. FOR M.B.A. ASPIRANTS THOSE WHO ASPIRE TO WRITE N.E.T.SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED
TO WRITE N.E.T.IF THEY POSSESS BELOW 60%. Is it that, who possess 60% BELOW are not
eligible for Post of Lecturer.7. M.B.A.'s are not Eligible for Degree college
lecturers,why is it .................?????//////Is it Justifiable?????????Finally, A
SMALL QUESTION IS HOW MANY OF THE PROFESSORS IN THE UNIVERSITIES POSSESS THE M.B.A.DEGREE
TO TEACH M.B.A.STUDENTS WITH MORE THAN 60% MARKS.For the GREAT POST OF I.A.S. also they
consider only 55%, but why for M.B.A.Teasching 60% is considered.
