Re: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Discussion-I ] How are we equipping our students for the future?

Our education system equips our students for (i.e., outcomes):

  1. Not self-actualized but externally motivated.
  2. Growth mind set through easy ways.
  3. Instinct to success but by short cuts.

On reading "The future employee must learn intrinsic motivation and develop a growth mindset and instinct to be successful." I am tempted to think if our caste system was based initially on these considerations that later on was turned into ....... a Curse!

Macaulay has reported in the early 18th Century that financial independence, thick unity of society segments and their cooperation were the result of societal structure, especially those of such craftsman including carpenter, Mahar, Mang, Dhor, smiths, Brahman, warrior, etc., equal partners for societal good.

It is expected that by 2020
, many
people will be independent workers, freelancers, contractors and temporary employees. Increasingly these positions are being held by the best and the brightest. Harvard Business Review called this phenomenon "the Rise of the Supertemp." The future employee must learn intrinsic motivation and develop a growth mindset and instinct to be successful.

How are we equipping our students for this future?
