Re: [camnetwork] Burn Bamenda University and Not Raise Money

With this type of divide I foresee that even if Amabazonia becomes a reality, we might degenerate to the republic of South Sudan current situation. I foresee that after Ambazonia the next fight will be SAWA versus GRAFFI divide!!! Hhmmmmmmmm!!!!

Why can't we focus our energy in see how similar we are as a people instead of how different we are? Will this psychological scare ever heal???

Dear St Arrey,

You wrote:

"Many people (especially those from the North West) from this forum suggested that students should strike and burn down the university. Perhaps it was because the University was in Buea."

You know and we all know that the above is untrue, divisive and as close to a "Trumperie" as they come.

Less the fueling of the North West-South West Divide, I am with you.

Funding for public universities should come from the same public treasury into which everyone, including Bamenda People, pay in their taxes and from which funds were withdrawn to build the universities in Yaounde and elsewhere.

"If na so money di scratch Bamenda People", how come they have not yet built the Ring Road they so long for? Why would Bamenda People not be expected to use the same "Go Fund Me" cap-in-hand approach to rebuild the now non-existent Babajou-Bamenda Road? Who has forgotten how extremely well the "Coup de Coeur" for the Indomitable Lions went?

"God forbid bad ting"!

Dear People,
A few days ago I read that you were raising money for Bamenda University. on the other hand, a yesteryears, I read from this very forum that Buea University lacked a lot of things just like Bamenda University. Many people (especially those from the North West) from this forum suggested that students should strike and burn down the university. Perhaps it was because the University was in Buea. Today that there is a university in Bamenda, the same people are gloating about raising money rather than burning the university down. I am watching your doublespeak, folks!

The most egregious thing is to hear some of you say that you challenged every Bamenda person or groups for donation. That university in Bamenda is not a Bamenda university. It is a Cameroonian university located in Bamenda. With that mindset, it explains why you always thought about burning or destroying Buea University because you thought that a university in Buea is a university for your enemies, the south westerners. The Yaounde University 1&2 are not Betis universities, even though they want to make it look that way. These universities belong to every Cameroonian and should be conducive for every person who wants to study.

For Cameroon to grow,  we should change our mentalities because it is really backwards.

Until then, it is a great endeavor, and I wish to commend and encourage you to go ahead with the project!
