Re: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Debate-I] Do you support curbing politics in Campus?

Every HRD Minister would naturally want to have their feet firmly embedded in Campus Politics which is the ground from which the future leaders are identified, nurtured and finally inducted into mainstream politics. Both Congress & BJP have been using this tool through AISF, ABVP....and now the Mango Party - AAM Aadmi Party ( AAP) has formed something called CYSS ( Chaatra Yuwa Sangharsh Samiti).
So even while propagating New Education Policy which due to functional need would advocate curbing politics, their own party who hunt for youths to be groomed as future leaders would definitely want a piece of the pie. So the pied pipers of all the parties dole out freebies to the leaders to garner the support of youth in various youth functions and events hosted by the different factions elected to power. There is horse trading, pouching and all the subterfuge activities which gives students an insight into politics the kind of which we got exposed to only through media (print media) in our days. But modern youngsters are very quick through the outreach of social media to identify The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of the Campus. The "BHAI-giri" culture is complete which comes with even the packaging - the Neta garb...sleeveless Coat over Khadi Kurta. There are bouncers and self appointed group bodyguards.... I have had my brush first hand in Delhi University and a few kids who aspire to make their Career have completed their first step and moved onto Youth Leader position in parties.
