This is a 6 month plus contract in Hicksville, NY. The client will be launching a new commercial business and operations so they need a Senior level Business Analyst who has experience with managing end to end all aspects of system solution delivery. They MUST have done this in a Healthcare organization. Company will hire from a phone interview and the work needs to be done 100% onsite in NY.
Must have strong Business analysis skills; will be managing end to end delivery of Requirements to Design, Develop and Testing ; need healthcare knowledge especially Consumer based healthcare capabilities , and experience with Third party vendor integration
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with Delivery management experience for the launch of new commercial business and operations. Qualified candidates will possess 8+ years of IT Business Analysis with delivery lead responsibilities focusing on end to end requirements through implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a software development environment in Healthcare settings gathering and documenting requirements, interfacing with key stakeholders on the business and technology side and actively ensuring timely delivery of software features for successful launch of new business capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
With direction, supports multiple business processes and or work streams related to the use of applicable tools that deliver business system solutions. Usually serves as a team member and contributes to activities such as analysis, planning, design, development, testing and release of features and functionalities for applicable business areas. Actively participate in gathering and establishing design functional software requirements
- Leads business analysis for multiple workstreams or business areas ( Third Party Vendor – CDH, Rx, Vision, Dental, Voluntary product integration), Customer Services, healthcare Operations & Backoffice); developing business needs, create and or maintain functional and technical requirements leveraging iterative methodology to deliver high quality solutions that meet business needs
- Creates and documents process flows, functional and technical requirements in user stories, process maps for user experience design, testing and implementation;
- Provides analysis of business implications and applies problem solving skills to meet business needs.
- Creatively translates information using business knowledge and identify additional information needed to support business objectives.
- Interacts with internal/external customers to define information for solution development.
- Develop and integrate the delivery approach, dependencies, resource requirements and schedule for multiple workstreams with the overall program and launch schedule;
- Develops detailed project schedules, integrates project plans into other release schedules and works to resolve schedule and resource conflicts
- Participate in the presentation of information to customer and internal business areas.
- Creates business / product / third party vendor specifications.
- Supports implementation and launch of products.
- Manages communications (to stakeholders, leadership, etc.) with project teams and management; could be project plans, status reports and other project related updates/communications.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without authority and develop a shared sense of urgency to ensure project success
- Work closely with senior level leadership when necessary, especially in the areas of organization and policy change required for new system implementation
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to analyze problems and resolve issues through resolution quickly and methodically.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills; comfortable initiating conversations with both business and technology leaders within the organization, as well as the ability to translate business issues and requirements into technical solutions.
- Healthcare Insurance in Commercial business with customer facing portal capabilities and back office operational experience strongly preferred
- Business Analysis ; Required 6 years
- Business Applications and Systems Solution delivery experience; Required 3 years
- Proven ability to map business process, gather requirements, write technical requirements/business documents and validation experience required
- Project Management and collaboration in Iterative environment; Required 3 years
- Experience managing technical/functional requirements and traceability required
- Ability to Drive Change and Decisions with excellent reasoning judgment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio
- Knowledge of BA/ PM Tools JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Visio, TFS
- Experience with Customer Facing Portals & Mobile solutions, Third Party Vendor Integration
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Flexibility to adapt to change and willing to learn and develop new skill sets as applicable.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. BA Certifications and or PMP a plus
