Re: PEOPLE: Literary Luminary, Prof Bole Butake Passes On… (Life, works and death of Prof Butake)

What a coincidence that the warrior will depart on a date non other than the 1st of October. Farewell ye comrade Prof. Bole Butake!
Pass our grieves and sadness to our ancestors in the yonda, for our plight is still weighing on us!

PEOPLE: Literary Luminary, Prof Bole Butake Passes On…

The prolific Cameroonian academic and playwright, Professor Bole Butake is no more. The Professor of Literature dies, October 1 2016 at a Yaounde hospital.

Bole Butake, who was retired lecturer at the University of Yaounde I, is remembered for his refusal to be made Minister, used his literary works to denounce the plundering of state resources and the quest for personal agrandisement.
