We are most honored and extremely excited to invite you to the African Diaspora Cyber Initiative (ADCI) Conference to be held at the Marriott Greenbelt Maryland conference center on November 17th 2016 begging at 9.00 AM.
The purpose of ADCI conference is to discuss ways to engage the African Diaspora in cyber- security initiatives back in Africa, and to begin to address the lack of a highly qualified workforce in this area. The lack of specialists is a constant and growing concern which requires immediate attention. The impact of cyber criminality in our continent is well known.
Many developing nations possess neither robust critical infrastructures that utilize digital control systems nor highly digitized systems. These nations have equally not developed programs to identify and protect their critical infrastructures and the resources that are vital for their community's well being. African diaspora's engagement is vital to the continent.
The need for concrete and efficient ways to curb cyber crime has never been more pressing. African Diaspora has shown significant interest in Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection programs in the continent. These skilled diaspora populations have significant technical expertise that can be collaboratively harnessed and leveraged.
