Re: Nalova pours petrol on fire, UB students on the rampage

Heads of primary schools in Limbe that had tried to function normally in defiance of the strike seem to have realised the stupidity of their action. They sent urgent SMSes to parents this morning asking them to come and pick up their children and take them home because the teachers have stayed away massively. Like a diesel engine, the Southwest has been slow in picking up the action but is now ramping it up with a vengeance. Fame Ndongo should come and see.

Reports from Buea say the UB students have gone on the rampage. My informant said Nalova Lyonga the VC had invited students to come and write continuous assessment tests,. Most of the students who answered present found not a single lecturer in the campus. angered by this they immediately got amuck.
A university worker ( names withheld) who knew a colleague relation to the Prime Minister Yang Philemon, called the friend to inform him about the situation. as God would make it this relation was with the PM and immediately informed him. Further reports say the PM was shattered and annoyed and wondered aloud why the government could be trying to solve a precarious problem as such and the VC is instead adding flames. apparently she would have received a slap if she were by the PM, as it is reported he exclaimed "what a stupid woman!"
Also reports from Victoria say that the oil town has picked up with the strike today more seriously than ever before.
Alutta continua! One for all and all for one. Bamenda is in its usual mood. NO schools all over the NW Region.
